Born and raised in a small town in Westphalia, Germany, I first studied biology and then for years worked as a music producer and songwriter, owning my own music production company. In addition to my love for music, photography had always been my other passion in life. For some years now I have dedicated myself and my time to this wonderful art form intensively and with a pure zest for life. Today I wonder why I had not always done that. If someone asks me about my inspiration, I say it's the beauty of this world.
Most people think that I must be constantly on the road and have the best job on the planet. Travelling the world, living a jet setter lifestyle and doing what I love the most.
Yes I have a good life, chasing my dreams, a road, I decided to go down. Of course there is a lot of behind the scenes work of creativity and hours and days of preparation and post production, however, yes, I am privileged to travel when I want and shoot the most beautiful women through my lens in the most exciting and beautiful locations and for this I will be forever grateful.
May it never end.
Very few photographers are capable of true art, ennobling a piece of solid craft with their own creativity into an emotionally poignant work. Teddy Marks is undoubtedly one of them. Firstly, his nude photographs are highly aesthetic testimonials of female beauty, resulting from the uncompromising choice of the most beautiful models, impressive locations, radiant ambiences and a retouching that is detailed in particular and obviously fully geared towards preserving all naturalness.
Secondly, however, Teddy Marks achieves more for the observer than just the first visual effect: his photos carry little stories, tell of happiness and a zest for life, of passion and profound desire, of reverie and ecstasy, of lostness and moments where the women completely submerge within themselves. Their poses sometimes seem innocent, like in an unobserved moment, sometimes lascivious as if to sexually provoke, but above all, their facial expressions are expressive at all times and conceal by perfectly simulated authenticity that everything is deliberately staged. Teddy Marks uses the nakedness of his models to reinforce the image effect: Without clothing, with which a person can usually hide or feel protected by, the body communicates mostly in casual appearing poses, sometimes in exaggerated self-presentation about vulnerability and strength, about restraint and self-assurance.
